When the Saints Go Marching In

de Clifton Chenier

Someone told me that the mountains
Formed themselves over a billion years
But how could that be true if an Artist
Wouldn't throw a can of paint to create a mountain range
And I'd be lying to myself if I believed that just one cell
Could design a mountain range much less a human being's brain

There's so much proof God designed you
You're not the product of an accident
Your smile, your eyes, your laughs, your cries
Your life's worth more than just an accident

Someone told me that a baby
Doesn't get to decide if he lives or if he dies
But how could a heart not melt he's much more than a clump of cells
He didn't have a chance to cry before they took away his life

And I'd be lying deep inside if I believed this child's life
Was another women's choice when the unborn don't get a voice

There's so much proof God designed you
You're not the product of an accident
Your smile, your eyes, your laughs, your cries
Your life's worth more than just an accident

Someone told me that this Jesus died for me
But am I too far gone?
And I feel my sin and the weight of it within
Oh I need saving oh, God, 'cause without you I am lost

And I'd be lying to myself if I believed there was no hell
I know Your word is truth and I believe because there's proof

There's so much proof God designed you
You're not the product of an accident
Your smile, your eyes, your laughs, your cries
Your life's worth more than just an accident

There's so much proof God designed you
You're not the product of an accident
Your smile, your eyes, your laughs, your cries
Your life's worth more than just an accidentJ
