¿Qué se sabe de Charlie Puth?
Charles Otto Puth Jr., mejor conocido como Charlie Puth, es un músico y cantante de música pop, nacido el 2 de diciembre de 1991 en Rumson, New Jersey, Estados Unidos. Puth, ganó su fama a través de YouTube. Alcanzó mayor éxito en 2015 con el sencillo "Marvin Gaye", que cuenta con la voz de Meghan Trainor.
También es conocido por cantar con Wiz Khalifa el tema titulado "See You Again", perteneciente a la banda sonora de Rápidos y Furiosos 7, que se convirtió en un gran éxito internacional, alcanzando el número uno en Australia, Nueva Zelanda, Suiza y Bélgica, así como el top-ten en Irlanda y Estados Unidos.
Trayectoria y Legado
En febrero 2015 lanzó su primer sencillo "Marvin Gaye. Ese mismo año co-escribió la canción "Slow Motion" para Trey Songz y ha organizado sesiones con Jason Derulo y Lil Wayne. En una entrevista con Billboard explicó el ambiente que quería para su próximo EP: "Escuché un montón de discos de Marvin Gaye y Motown. Cuando estaba haciendo mi disco, yo sólo quería hacer este sonido soul. Cuando Marvin Gaye hizo su música, evocó este sentimiento que llegó a todos.”
Puth ha producido y escrito muchas canciones para compañeros de YouTube. Escribió el tema musical de Shane Dawson, “Shane and Friends”, el tintineo de introducción para los videos de la familia bloguera The Shaytards, el tema musical ctfxc y una canción para el tour y película Our 2nd Life, así como varios sencillos para el miembro de Our 2nd Life, Ricky Dillon.
